Well, I was ready for the feelings of love that washed over me - I expected them, almost anxiously, towards the end of the labour. I just knew I'd be full of love for the tiny little bundle that we'd created, I knew I'd be more in love with my partner than ever before. I knew I'd be praying (despite myself) for health, safety, and happiness.
What I wasn't prepared for was the absolute outpouring of love and affection from all of my friends. Be it on Friendfeed, Twitter, texts or emails, it was deeply humbling. I've got a wonderful family now, but it makes me realise I've also got a great group of friends. Thanks to all of you.
And welcome to Marnie Rose Tandy Baker, 10/02/2010

I'm so excited for you Iain. Your family is beautiful, and I look forward to the first pics of the whole family together and happy. Certainly a great New Year's gift (albeit a month late)!
YAY!
Pip, you look LUMINOUS and so beautiful, as does Marnie. Well done darling! And Iain, I am so chuffed for all of you. Hope to see you all for a snuggle (mostly with Marnie though ;) x
You even got in the Holy Moly mailout! Congrats Iain, and to your lady of course. I need to stop looking at photos of babies, I'm so broody, my ovaries are on high alert...
Congrats Iain. How sweet a post and lovely happy pic.
